What began as a national collaboration in France has evolved into a structured European partnership. Axians is extending its IT infrastructure services for a leading automotive supplier, supporting production sites with standardized, high-availability solutions across multiple countries.
The cooperation between Axians and the manufacturer dates back more than 20 years, initially focusing on industrial cabling within French factories. As production environments became increasingly digital, the scope expanded to include IT network infrastructure and maintenance services. In 2011, Axians France began managing the supplier’s network equipment under dedicated service level agreements designed to ensure 24/7 operational continuity.
Today, Axians supports 32 factories in France, overseeing around 20,000 network devices and delivering nationwide support through a centralized helpdesk and regional intervention centers. This model ensures responsiveness, security, and performance in critical industrial environments where downtime is not an option.
As the manufacturer reorganized under a regional governance structure, the French contract was identified as a reference model. Axians and the partner then defined a European Target Operating Model to harmonize service levels, optimize support contracts, and ensure consistent standards across countries—balancing operational efficiency with cost control while maintaining strong local execution.
Italy was the first country to adopt this framework. Axians, already a long-standing partner locally, aligned its delivery model with the European structure while continuing to provide on-site expertise for infrastructure and networking projects.
Over the past few years, the partnership has expanded to Germany, Belgium, Ireland, Spain, Morocco, and most recently Poland. With nationwide coverage and 24/7 technical capabilities, Axians Poland now delivers the same standardized level of support to local production sites.
This multi-country deployment highlights Axians’ ability to combine local expertise with centralized governance, supporting the manufacturer’s industrial performance across Europe with consistent, scalable, and resilient infrastructure services.
