A critical organization specialized in energy, faced rising challenges in managing privileged access credentials. The lack of visibility and control over these account details, which were sometimes shared among administrators, exposed the company to a significant risk of compromise. A single leaked credential could provide access to critical systems such as CRM, internal messaging platforms, or industrial control systems.

Partnering with Axians, the organization sought to regain control and improve the governance of its highly sensitive access. This initiative was also driven by regulatory obligations to comply with ISO 27001, NIS2, as well as by findings from an internal audit that had revealed serious weaknesses in the management of privileged accounts. 

Considering this context, Axians Morocco proposed and implemented a Privileged Access Management (PAM) solution to bring structure, visibility, and security to all privileged account. The deployment centralized and monitored access, secured administrators’ credentials through a digital vault, and eliminated the sharing of these passwords.  

The benefit is the ability to record administrator and service provider sessions during their interventions, ensuring full visibility and accountability during critical operations. 

All access sessions are now recorded and monitored in real time, while the solution integrates seamlessly with the company’s Active Directory and the Security Operations Center (SOC) to enhance event correlation and alerting.

Beyond the technical rollout, Axians ensured a smooth transfer of knowledge by providing training, on-the-job guidance, and ongoing post-project support. 

All privileged accesses are now under control, eliminating password sharing and clear-text storage. Internal risk has been reduced; audits have been streamlined thanks to automated reporting, and external auditors have confirmed compliance with all relevant standards. Administrators also benefit from improved efficiency, accessing critical resources faster and more securely.
