MAGNA Automotive Stity s.r.o., formerly KLEIN Automotive, is a Czech-based manufacturer specializing in producing metal components for the global automotive industry.
With continued growth and increasingly complex production demands, the company faced the challenge of modernizing its information systems to maintain efficiency and scalability. Historically, MAGNA had operated separate systems for production and finance, which limited real-time insights into manufacturing performance and costs.
To address these limitations, MAGNA engaged Axians to lead the implementation of a comprehensive SAP S/4HANA system. The primary objective was to unify core business functions under a single, integrated ERP platform. This included restructuring the entire warehouse system, introducing real-time production tracking through handling units, and replacing legacy batch-based tracking. A new cost-tracking model was also introduced, allowing the company to evaluate the performance of each production order in financial terms.
The deployment required not only software integration but also the rollout of an upgraded IT infrastructure. Axians delivered the full technology stack, from application servers and backup systems to barcode scanners and wireless coverage across the production halls. Testing and acceptance took place in several stages, involving key users and senior management. Once the system went live, Axians provided on-site support during the initial months of operation to ensure a stable transition.
We were already able to optimize some processes in practice during the test operation. We will be able to objectively evaluate a real and comprehensive evaluation of the system, including the benefits for company management, only after a year of live operation”

Today, MAGNA Automotive benefits from a unified ERP environment that offers better visibility, higher traceability, and improved control over its manufacturing processes. The new platform enables the company to react faster to production variables, provides a clearer view of inventory and material flows, and supports more accurate reporting and planning.
Now, MAGNA is better positioned to meet the demands of its clients and pursue further digitalization initiatives.
